Experience the North Woods.
Today
The Walker Goetzke Farm spans over 450 acres of open fields, deciduous and coniferous forest, wetlands, and various water sources. The diverse landscape supports a vast array of wildlife, from predators like bears, wolves, coyotes, and foxes, to deer, grouse, turkeys, and many other species of birds. Our sheep, goats, chickens, and several hives of honey bees also call the Farm home.
In the midst of this beautiful environment, we, too, have made a home away from home. From bingo, beer on tap, and basketball in the signature barn, to grilling in our wood-fired pizza oven and meals on the porch, there is never a dull moment on the Farm.

The Beginning
Judy and Gary bought the farm in 1998. The place had been in a state of disuse and disrepair for many years – the house was a disaster, the fields and trails were overgrown, and beavers had taken over the pond. The farm was only accessible by one beat-up, dirt road.
Since then, they have rebuilt the house, tamed the fields and trails, grown corn, hay, and other veggies. They built a beautiful cedar barn; added a garden, solar-powered log cabin, windmill, and a carriage house; and brought many animals into the family. The Farm has come a long way from its humble beginnings, bringing life to the vision Judy and Gary had back in 1998.
